During 2015, Census removed smaller MSAs from the CPS, added other small MSAs to the CPS, and changed some area definitions for existing MSAs. The new set of CPS MSAs after August 2015 correspond to 2013 Census MSA definitions. In order to provide 12 months of compatible data on metro areas, our "2015" MSA tables are compiled using the August 2015 through July 2016 CPS monthly files.  These same MSA definitions will be used in the CPS for approximately 10 years. Revised 2015 metro estimates were posted 2/11/2017; the initial estimates posted were accidentally based on 11 rather than 12 months of data.
